Beanies for Brain Cancer
The College community came together on Friday to raise $2350 for The Mark Hughes Foundation.
Mark Hughes was a member of the great Newcastle Knights team of the 90’s who unfortunately fell victim to brain cancer a few years ago. With the support of the rugby league community Mark has raised awareness of the disease and the impact it has on both victims and their families. The Mark Hughes Foundation continues to raise valuable funds in order to help accelerate the possibility of finding a cure to this insidious disease.
The cause is very close to the St Clare’s community through the much publicised battle of Channel 9’s Matthew Callander. The Callander family are part of the St Clare’s community and we are very proud to be able to support them through the work of The Mark Hughes Foundation.
