The Final Farewell
The last of the farewells to our Year 12 cohort took place yesterday afternoon and went long into the evening. The Year 12 students and their families gathered with the College staff to celebrate mass at Mary Immaculate at 4:30pm and were led through a beautiful ceremony by Fr Paul Ghanem ofm. His mantra of ‘you are sacred, you are holy and you are good’, left all feeling uplifted and inspired as we headed back to the College for supper and the Awards Ceremony.
As always our Hospitality team outdid themselves once again. They worked long and hard throughout the day to ensure the large gathering had plenty of delicious food eat before they moved into the College Hall for what would be quite an extensive Awards Ceremony. The ceremony concluded late in the evening capping off a very emotional day for all involved.
Special thanks must go to Mr Mark McCoy for his organisation of the beautiful mass, Mr Chris Maoudis for his organisation of the Awards Ceremony and finally to Mrs Belinda Dixon, our Leader of Wellbeing who coordinated all the many farewell ceremonies that have taken place over the past week.
Last night’s Graduation Assembly was live streamed for those who could not attend. (The Assembly broadcast commences six minutes into the video.)
