Today was the culmination of many weeks of preparation as the College community gathered for ‘Gratitude Day’. Each year group was responsible for one initiative that acknowledged how fortunate we are to be part of this wonderful College and how important it is to take care of those less fortunate.
The Year 10 students prepared special packages for women living on the streets while our Year 7 students visited nursing homes in the area to bring a little early Christmas cheer to the residents with their renditions of some of the classic Christmas carols. The Year 8 students prepared Christmas Hampers while our Year 9s prepared gifts to deliver to the Children’s Hospital at Randwick.
All students participated in a ‘Gratitude Walk’ to Centennial Park and back to raise money for refugees and asylum seekers. This was an initiative by our Year 11 students.
