Naplan Online Practice
On Tuesday 26th March both our Year 7 and Year 9 cohorts will be sitting a practice test for the upcoming Naplan Online tests in May. The practice test will be a 45 minute OMNIBUS test which incorporates reading, language conventions and numeracy. The idea behind having students sit the OMNIBUS test is that it exposes students to the online testing environment as well as the different types of questions they are likely to face in Naplan Online.
It is essential that all students have downloaded and installed the ‘Locked Down Browser‘. The browser enables students to access the OMNIBUS test securely. Whilst in the ‘Locked Down Browser’ students cannot access any other websites. All students will need to make sure their devices are fully charged and they have a working set of headphones. Information about the OMNIBUS practice test has been sent to all Year 7 and 9 students.
NESA has created a specific page for parents that has all the information required to help understand the new Naplan Online testing procedures. There is also a public demonstration site for each of the Year groups taking the tests this year.
