About the College

Principal’s Message

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to St Clare’s College Waverley.

The College

Founded in 1884 by the Poor Clare Sisters, St Clare’s College provides a Catholic education for young women in the Franciscan tradition.

Wellbeing

The wellbeing of every St Clare’s girl is our highest priority.

Curriculum

St Clare’s College offers a wide range of subjects that provides students with the opportunity to gain confidence and engage in experiences that promote life long learning. Students are challenged to develop their academic and social skills in nurturing surroundings.

Franciscan Consecrated Life Eucharist

On Sunday December 6 we were well represented at the Franciscan Consecrated Life Eucharist celebrated by Bishop Vincent Long Nguyen ofmconv DD at Mary Immaculate Church. Our choir, led by Ms Hurley with the assistance of Ms Sonego, added to this momentous occasion. Thank you also to the Poor Clare Sisters for hosting the brunch and testimonials in San Damiano Hall – it was a resounding success.

Archbishop’s Charter for Catholic Schools

On 23rd November Dr Dan White, The Executive Director of the Sydney Archdiocese of Schools joined us in our celebration of Poor Clare Day. During the Mass, Dr Dan White, as Archbishop Anthony Fisher’s representative, presented us with the Archbishop’s Charter. Our College acknowledges and commits in spirit and action to the Archbishop’s Charter for Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney.
