Our Open Day is currently underway with lots of visitors coming to see the wonderful learning that takes place here at St Clare’s. Our staff and students have put a lot of work into preparing for this afternoon’s activities and despite the fluctuating weather everyone seems to be having a great time.
One of our Year 10 PDHPE classes was really getting into the spirit of things this morning during the wheelchair basketball activity. The competitive nature of some of the girls and their teacher, Ms Winchester, was clearly evident!
On Sunday 5th March almost 100 ex-students gathered to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at St Clare’s College. An 11am mass was followed by a guided tour of interesting and historical artifacts in the Convent, lead by Sr Louise Hume osc. A succulent lunch was served by a hardworking group Hospitality students under the expert supervision of Joanne and Courtney McNally. On Friday we ran a small test of the Google Cardboard devices. We used our Year 10 students to explore how effectively the Google Expedition app can be used in the classroom. The main goal of the test was to ensure students could connect their phones to the College network and then connect to the teacher’s Expedition network.
