St Clare’s on 5 and 12 May hosted Rounds 2 and 3 of the CSDA 2017 Debating Competition. On Friday 5 May, both Marcellin College Randwick and Mercy College Chatswood debated against our A and B teams. Last week a group of UNSW students who are part of the Engineers Without Borders initiative worked with our Year 8 Science classes on solving a problem that related to an issue faced by people living in poorer regions of our planet. Our Year 7 students enjoyed a fabulous presentation from the ‘Poetry in Action‘ team today. Their entertaining and engaging performance gave the students a wonderful insight into some of the great poets, while very cleverly embedding a variety of poetry techniques into the performance. Absolutely brilliant!
This term all Year Seven students have been working on their History Assessment Task. We have been working really hard looking up lots of information on our chosen topic. We had to choose one out of four topics, After Life and the Gods, Mummification, Royal Family/Leadership and Architecture. We worked in groups of three to five students.
